The IMOGENder Network is made up of representatives and interested stakeholders at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) that focuses on promoting gender equality within the maritime sector. This network aims to create a more inclusive environment by supporting the advancement and empowerment of women in maritime professions.

Current Activities

IMOGENder's flagship programmes include, 'Women on Board Mentor Programme', 'Best Practices and Resources to support the Recruitment & Retention of Women in the Maritime Industry,' and 'Open House Workshops' are all of which are designed to create tangible pathways towards change. Additionally, IMOGENder Network supports school visits to the IMO and fosters connections with industry stakeholders. Dive into our current explorations.

Women On Board!

Mentor Programme

The IMOGENder Network flagship programme is an exciting opportunity for members to partner with female students from the World Maritime University (WMU) and International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI).  Members  support and empower the next generation of women in the maritime industry.
